Arlene Dittbrenner |
||
| Arlene is the owner and widow of Transplant's founder, Scott Dittbrenner. When Scott passed away in 2003 she took over the shop. Arlene is committed to excellence of service and 100% customer satisfaction. In fact, when you call Transplant, you are most likely to have Arlene answer the phone herself. Arlene oversees every aspect of the shop operation from greeting her customers to ordering parts. She comes to the transmission industry from a background in higher education administration so expect to receive somewhat of an education in transmissions from Arlene while you are there. Since she believes in disseminating as much information as possible to her customers she provides several handouts either in person or by email. (do be assured that she promises to not test you on the information she provides.) Originally from Berwyn, Arlene and her two children, David and Lindsay, now reside in Elverson. In her spare time, Arlene enjoys reading, Sudoku, gardening, cooking, the beach, traveling and spending time with her children. | ||

| Paul Pashley | Daniel 'Danny' Solomon | James 'Jay' Davis |
Paul, our lead ASE certified technician commonly referred as the 'builder', has been remanufacturing transmissions for 31 years. While Paul can usually be found leaning over his bench deep inside a complicated unit he is never too busy to stop and speak with a customer about any issue they may be having with their vehicle. Paul is considered to be the best in his trade and receives phone calls daily from other transmission professionals seeking his advice about different vehicles they are working on. Paul still resides in his hometown of Collegeville with Janet, his wife of 31 years. They have two grown children. In his spare time, Paul repairs and restores old juke boxes, radios and pinball machines. |
Danny is not only ASE certified in automatic transmissions but also in engine repair, manual drive train and axles, suspension and steering and brakes. Danny has enjoyed 29 years in the transmission business... the same number of years that he has been married to his lovely wife, Freida, with whom he has had six children. Danny still resides in his hometown of Norristown. When he is not at Transplant Transmissions working on something Danny can usually be found on his boat up at Marsh Creek State Park enjoying his favorite hobby, bass fishing. |
Jay Davis, at 34 may be our youngest technical crew member but he has already accumulated 16 years in the transmission business. He is ASE certified not only for transmissions but he is also an ASE master auto /truck electrical technician. So many of today's vehicle issues are electrical that this sort of training is required if we are going to properly service our customers. Originally from West Virginia, Jay now resides in Oxford with his wife, Tina and four daughters. In his spare time Jay enjoys trout fishing, hunting and drag racing. |
| Ryan Kinka | David Dittbrenner | Lindsay Dittbrenner |
| Ryan, our sales manager (and general factotum) is relatively new to the transmission industry although he's been a "motor head" for his entire life. Originally from Northeast Philadelphia, he now resides in Phoenixville with his beautiful wife, Sheila, and their dog, Ranger. Ryan attended both LaSalle and West Chester Universities. While his primary responsibility is sales and customer service, he can be found helping out in the shop under a lift almost any day of the week. He is also the resident I. T. (Information Technology) manager, shop carpenter, painter, graphic designer and Director of Marketing. In his spare time, besides golfing, Ryan enjoys working on many varied projects including (at home) turning his attached garage into a gorgeous family room, building a huge brick paver patio or ... back here at the shop, totally renovating his 1989 Camaro. | David was born into the transmission industry. As the owner's son and heir apparent, he has been around the shop his entire life. Dave's grandfather opened the family's first transmission shop over 30 years ago and his father, Scott Dittbrenner opened Transplant over 20 years ago. Besides being a full time college student majoring in business administration and a member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, David is the shop production manager who not only schedules and assigns work but also removes and installs transmissions, assists our lead tech, picks up and delivers vehicles for customers, and is our Saturday manager. In what spare time David does have he enjoys working on his truck, snowboarding, the beach, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. |
As the owner's daughter, Lindsay has also
been in the transmission industry her entire
life. Besides being a full time Dean's list
student majoring in accounting at Cabrini
College, Lindsay is the company bookkeeper who
can also be found helping the techs push cars if
the need arises. Lindsay is also a classical
dancer who trained at The Rock School West in
West Chester. She has continued to enjoy dance
as a member of her college's dance team.
Lindsay is also a classical vocalist who enjoys
competing in pageants, in fact she is a former
Miss Teenage Pennsylvania. In her spare time
Lindsay enjoys reading, movies, gardening,
baking, snowboarding, the beach, traveling and
spending time with her friends and family. |
| Philip Weaver | ||
| Phil is the newest member of our team at Transplant. Born and raised in Glenmoore, Phil lives with his family in the same house he grew up in... all hand built by his father! A graduate of the Automotive Training Center in Lionville, Phil has been in the automotive business for 6 years now. When he's not working Phil enjoys playing pool with the American Pool Player's Association. In the summer he can also be found on several local golf courses perfecting his game. | ||
